Theme: God entrusts each of us with various amounts of time, talent, and money. As God’s stewards, we are called to manage our blessings according to God’s will. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the absolute best, how would you rate what you are doing as a steward of what God has entrusted to you? We know we will never come close to being a “10”. Despite of our frailties and imperfections, God wants us to tend the creation. God wants us to be God’s hands and feet to feed the hungry, heal the wounded, seek the lost with the Good News.
Prayer: God, our guide and our protector,
as we gather today in your holy house,
open our minds and souls and hearts,
that we may be inclined to hear the gentle direction
of your spirit in our lives.
Help us follow you as you lead us
to the land you have created for us,
where we may dwell with you and in you. Amen.
Scripture: Matthew 25:14-30

Honoring The Saints~Sunday, November 5; Historically, the Church has confessed a belief in the “communion of the saints,” which includes not only all living believers, but also all who have gone before us. When we celebrate Holy Communion, we experience the communion of saints, feasting with believers past, present and future. The author of Hebrews 12 reminds us that these saints, a “great cloud of witnesses,” surrounds us and cheers us on. On All Saints Day, United Methodists publicly remember and honor those who have passed away. Celebrated on the first Sunday in November, many congregations light candles, ring bells of remembrance, and call the names of those lost in the previous year as a way of honoring the impact their lives have had on us.
Please bring a picture of your loved ones who have passed away during the last year to be placed on the Table of Remembrance as part of our honoring “those who have gone before us” with a special prayer.
